Rhapsody recently announced that their music service now offers over 10 million songs for their users!
As Napster has floundered in their efforts to grab their fair share of the music market, Rhapsody has continued to climb higher and higher atop the music subscription mountain, as well as making waves in the online MP3 music store market.
Rhapsody recently made a huge move and became its own entity, apart from RealNetworks, to forge their way as a separate company. It remains to be seen how this will affect either of these companies.
In the meantime, though, Rhapsody continues to crank out millions of songs for their members, giving them uninterrupted listening for a flat fee each month. Let’s wait and see how the business decision mentioned above plays out in the music subscription and music download arena.
Even though Rhapsody is no longer part of RealNetworks, there is an agreement between the two companies that allows Superpass users to download 10 free MP3 songs from the Rhapsody library each month, 100% free.
To get your 10 free MP3 songs and try Superpass for 14 days at absolutely no charge and with no obligation whatsoever, please click the button below!

Have you ever been listening to the radio and heard a great song that you had no idea who it was that was singing it?
I had this happen this past weekend. I was in the car for a short time.. less than 3 minutes. But I heard a new song and loved it! Unfortunately, I had no idea who it was.
So… I grabbed my Android phone and popped open a web browser and headed right the website of the radio station I was listening to. Sure enough… they had a “what just played” section of their website that showed me the song title and artist. So I made a note of this info and went on my way.
Later on, after I got home, I looked this info up and found the exact song I had heard that morning. Only a minute or two later I had downloaded it and was listening to it on my laptop
That’s the complete beauty of having a music subscription!! I didn’t need to run to a store to buy a CD. And best of all, I got to preview the song again before downloading it, just to make sure it was what I wanted.
Happy Listening!

One of the things I love most about music download subscriptions is the ability to go back and find old music to download and listen to.
During the past two weeks I’ve been able to go back and find some bands that I hadn’t listened to in quite a while. Because I have a music download subscription, I didn’t have to worry about paying any per song download fees!
Since finding them I’ve spent quite a bit of time listening to these older tunes.
This is the reason that music subscriptions are so awesome. Pay a flat fee and listen to all the music you want, with nobody telling you when or how much.
Take advantage of it and download some great tunes today!

Here are some of the week’s new music releases:
Sea Of Cowards – The Dead Weather
Now that we know Jack and Meg aren’t of blood relation, the Dead Weather has us wondering about Jack and Alison. Less than a year after its debut, the band releases album No. 2, an even more seditious shouting match than the first. If you like your rock with luster, step away. This is abrasive and abusive.
Slash – Slash
Excluding Snakepit’s two albums, this is the guitarist’s first solo joint since leaving GnR in ’96. That said, it’s a thoroughly collaborative affair, one boasting a who’s who of rock royalty: Ian Astbury, Chris Cornell, Kid Rock, Dave Grohl, Ozzy, Iggy, Fergie, Duff and more.

Here are some of this week’s new music releases:
Nobody’s Daughter – Hole
The band that recorded Nobody’s Daughter isn’t really Hole; it’s Courtney and some backing musicians. Nevertheless, they do a decent job approximating the vintage grunge sound of Live Through This. Not surprisingly, much of the album’s success can be attributed to the volatile frontwoman.
Tango 3.0 – Gotan Project
When it comes to sheer visceral pleasure, nobody beats the Gotan Project. A tangle of violins, a thread of bandoneon, Cristina Vilallonga’s sultry swale of a voice … it’s all so elegant, so expert that you know you’re being manipulated but don’t care. Tango 3.0 is no different, and that’s its joy and also its problem.
Fire Away – Ozomatli
After a couple of releases that felt like they were trying too hard, the band seems to have rediscovered — rather than manufactured — its sense of fun. At 11 songs, 36 minutes, Fire Away is not a long album, which makes sense. Here the grand Ozo is making pop music. You know: snappy, fun, rock ‘n’ roll in spirit, and sometimes even in sound.
